Located in the Anantagiri temple of Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh, one of the country’s largest caves known as Burra Guha.

This million-year-old cave, discovered by William King George of India’s Geological Survey, attracts a large number of tourists every day and becomes one of the main attractions of the Vizag.

Among the tribes living here there are various legends about the discovery of the caves. According to a popular legend, the Baura caves were discovered when these caves came in search of a cow cow cave.

He found a Shiva Lingam inside the cave and believed that Shiva had saved his cow.

Villagers built a small temple outside the cave by the people coming here. Another popular belief is that cow stones have been formed on Shiv Lingam found here and the high point of this cow is considered as the source of Gosthani river flowing through the city of Visag.

The Ghaurah cave is formed due to the flow of the river Gosthani of limestone deposits. These caves are known for producing impressive stalactite and stalagite like Sala-Parvati, Rishi beard, Mother-Child, Crocodile, Human Brain, Tiger and Gauss Udhar.

The Burra Guha is considered to be the largest in the country and is elevated to a height of about 705 meters. They are originally considered to be a stretch of 80-meter-wide carstick limestone structure and the deepest cave of India.

Natural scaliest in the cave create paths for kaleidoscopic painting, which give their own unique image. Animal lovers find out the hidden golden geckos in the shade of niches as well as the bat.
